The Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia Executive in conjunction with the Annual Scientific Meeting Organising Committee, would like to invite submission of abstracts from Post Fellowship Interventional Radiologists on original work, for consideration at the IRSA Annual Scientific meeting taking place in Sydney from 27 -29 June 2023.

Abstracts are due for submission by 31 May 2023.

Only shortlisted abstracts will be invited for presentation at the Annual Scientific Meeting and will be expected to attend in person. Applicants are expected to be informed of the acceptance results by 31 May 2023. 

 

All successful abstracts will be published in the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology (JMIRO)

Please read the instructions below for submission:

1. Abstracts must not exceed 400 words (excludes the abstract title, authors, affiliations, and references).

2. All scientific abstracts must have the following structure: 

   • Aim/Purpose

   • Materials and Methods

   • Results

   • Conclusions 

3. The submissions must clearly indicate the name and contact details for the presenting author who shall be the contact person for correspondence with regard to the submission.

4. All submissions must clearly indicate the names and affiliations of all co-authors.

5. Scientific abstracts based on involving clinical or experimental research in humans or animals must have appropriate ethics approval.

6. Case reports are not eligible for presentation.

7. Abstracts submitted after the due date will not be considered.

8. Only shortlisted abstracts will be invited for presentation at the Annual Scientific Meeting.

9. All presenters of the accepted scientific abstracts must register for the meeting. 

10. Presenters must make their own arrangements for travel, accommodation, and attendance at the meeting.

11. Please note RANZCR trainees, IR fellowship holders, nurses and radiographers are not eligible to apply.
