The Organising Committee invites submissions of abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2026 IRSA Annual Scientific Meeting to be held in Brisbane from Monday 20 July  to Wednesday 22 July 2026. 

 

Important Dates

• Abstract submission deadline:  Friday 29 June 2026

• Notification of acceptance: Monday 14th June 2026

• Registration deadline for accepted abstract authors/presenters: Friday 3rd July 2026

• Conference dates: 20-22 July 2026

How to Submit

​

Abstracts must be submitted electronically. Please see submission links on the page for each category.

• If you don't already have an Oxford Abstracts account, you'll need to create one

• After logging in, you'll be directed to the submission form for the specific category for the IRSA ASM

• If you've used Oxford Abstracts before, you can use your existing credentials to log in

• If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it using the "forgot password" option

Abstract Submission Categories

​

1. Oral presentation by Registrars/IR Fellow*

Winner of the best abstract presentation receives registration to the CIRSE Congress 2025 including return economy flight and 5 nights’ accommodation.

​

Accepted abstracts for Oral presentation will be published in the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology (JMIRO).

​

2. E-poster presentations for Nurses/Radiographers

Winner of the best e-poster receives a prize of $1000, second place receives $500 and third place receives $250.

 

All winners will be invited, with complimentary attendance, to the Farewell Dinner to receive their prizes in person.

3. Oral Presentation for Medical Student’s/Junior Doctors*

 

Winner of the best presentation receives a prize of $1000, second place receives $500 and third place receives $250.

*Accepted abstracts for Oral presentation will be published in JMIRO.  Abstracts not accepted for oral presentation will be accepted for an e-poster presentation but will not be submitted to JMIRO and are ineligible for the respective prizes.
